Every proven bug becomes a permanent test

Most testing effort evaporates. A tester finds a bug, files it, it gets fixed, and the knowledge of how to catch that bug again walks out the door with them. Next quarter the same class of issue slips back in, and nobody notices until a customer does.

Testomatica is designed so that nothing it learns is lost. Every proven finding turns into a permanent test. The practical effect: your regression suite grows on its own, one real bug at a time.

The lifecycle of a finding

  1. An agent explores the area that changed this release and notices something off.
  2. A rule turns the hunch into a condition, an exact, runnable check rather than an opinion.
  3. A referee reproduces it in a clean, AI-free session. If it won't reproduce, it never gets filed.
  4. It's filed with a repro to your issue tracker, linked to the change that likely caused it.
  5. A regression test is written and added to the suite that runs on every future deploy.

Agents always look at new ground. The suite remembers everything they've already found.

Why the suite runs without AI

Once a bug is captured as a deterministic test, catching it again needs no model at all. Regression runs cost zero tokens. That's not just a budget win. It's what lets the AI budget stay focused on the frontier: the parts of the app that changed and the paths nobody has walked yet.

Last week, during our first dry run, we replayed the earlier findings on a later pass with no model involved. All five reproduced. That's the loop working before a single test had even been generated.

Tests that stay honest

A growing suite is only an asset if it stays trustworthy. New tests have to earn their place: a test is promoted into the blocking gate only after it proves stable across many clean runs, on different commits and different days. Flaky tests are quarantined, not left to erode everyone's confidence in a red build.

The compounding effect

Each release, the floor rises. The bugs you caught last month can't come back silently, because a test is standing guard. The agents aren't re-checking old ground; they're pushing into new territory. Ship after ship, you cover more of your app without anyone sitting down to write a test by hand.
